Club Balai Isabel

When talking about vacation or out of town, I always look for a place that is lively. Maybe a bar to hangout. A place where I can listen to live music or do some sing-a-long. Or just any happenings that will occupy my night. I want fun. I want something interesting. I want excitement. I want something to fill my night.

If my friends ask me to join a trip, I always make sure that there will be some night life in that vicinity. If they are only going for some kind of nature trip, I immediately say no and reject the idea. This has always been the case until I experienced a weekend getaway at Club Balai Isabel.

I was invited by my friends to attend a Single's Getaway organized by Victory Fort. I didn't know what to expect except that it's a retreat of some sort so I went ahead and went with them.

Club Balai Isabel is located at Talisay, Batangas and it's a 3-hour drive from Metro Manila. It's a lake shore resort that offers a panoramic view of Taal Lake and Taal volcano.

We occupied the Bayani Suites and we stayed in Agoncillo 503, a Lakefront Suite w/ Loft, with a magnificent view of Taal Lake.

Club Balai Isabel offers a lot of amenities that you can enjoy. They have a big pool and an infinity pool for you to use. They also have billiard tables and dart games that you can play with your friends. They also have basketball court and other sports area for badminton, tennis and volleyball. They also offer lake shore activities like kayaking, jet skiing and other boat rides.

Of course, one thing I really appreciate about Club Balai Isabel is the food that they serve. Their food is awesome!!! What they offer is at par with any of your favorite hotel buffets. (Too bad I wasn't able to take some food pics)

Now, let's go to my personal experience. Earlier, I stated that I don't do well with nature trips. But why is this getaway any different? Joining this retreat gave me a new appreciation of things. It reminded me of what vacation is all about. True that one way of doing it is to have fun. But it is also a time for rest, relaxation and rejuvenation. You may enjoy parties but you should also realize the stresses it gives you. (Staying up late, getting more tiresome, and more likely than not, a hangover to go with it.)

With the busy schedule of work, sometimes it is necessary to just step away from everything and simply do nothing. Sit by a beach, watch over the sea, look at the mountains. Just enjoy what nature can offer. It's a good way to relax and to reflect on things about how you go about life. It's the best time to commune with God and just appreciate the beauty of his creation.

I just want to encourage you to step away from the norm of worldly satisfaction and just have some nice clean fun by investing in nature trips. Our country offers a lot of travel destinations that showcase the wonders of nature. Plan a trip to Bohol, to La Union, to Baguio or to Davao. Plan for beach tripping or mountain climbing. Travel all over the Philippines and discover what our country has to offer. And best of all, travel along with your family and friends. Strengthen those relationships and create memories that will last for a life time.

Having that said, here is my rating for Club Balai Isabel
