Tagaytay Highlands is one of the best places I've ever visited. What I love about this place is the cool air and the breath taking nature that goes with it. It is truly refreshing!
Primarily, Tagaytay Highlands is a Golf & Country Club and later opened it's gates for their residential communities. There are three ways you can stay here: (1) you are a member of one of their Golf Club or affiliate Clubs; (2) you are a home-owner in their residential community; or (3) you have been invited by someone who is a member or a home-owner of Tagaytay Highlands. During my first visit years ago, we stayed at The Lodge with my college friends. The Lodge is a 2-floor long cabin where members can stay overnight. You can also enjoy a wonderful SPA in The Lodge. Tagaytay Highlands also has a great Sports Center that caters to different activities like basketball, badminton, volleyball, bowling, swimming and many more. They also have an awesome Golf Course and their Country Club offers great food as well! What's special about this place is that they have their own cable cars that moves you from their country clubhouse to their golf clubhouses. You will really see the beauty of the place up there while riding it.
Now let's go to my recent visit 2 weeks ago. We were fortunate to stay in one of their residential cabins in the Pinecrest Village. We stayed in one of the lower units of the cabin. It is a 2-bedroom suite and has 2 bathrooms, one in the main hall and one in the master's bedroom (This one comes with a jacuzzi, too!).
What I really enjoyed is the environment setting of this village. With this downhill neighborhood, you would think that you're in a another country. I can't even compare Baguio to this one (Don't get me wrong, I do love Baguio but that's for another post). I love the pine trees that you can see everywhere! Feels like you're in a forest in a modern setting. It's a good place to do some running and play with the kids.
Tagaytay Highlands is really something that local and foreign tourists should see and experience. Too bad we only stayed for a night and done a few things of what it can offer. Nevertheless, it is a great getaway where you can just sit back, relax and enjoy nature.
